Lodge Pole Inn ( Elliston )

The Lodgepole Inn sits beside a mountain meadow near the Little Blackfoot River about a mile from the continental divide. Activities range from blue-ribbon fly-fishing and bird watching to hiking and world-class mountain biking to reading a book in the hammocks swaying in the tree house. There's no hurry to do anything at the Lodgepole Inn, it's a great place to kick back in the great outdoors. Wildlife on the property is common, including deer, elk, fox, moose, and even the occasional black bear. It's a place to get away from it all in the solitude of a mature pine forest, yet you'll only be a half-hour from the Helena airport. The Lodgepole Inn is centrally located in a little chunk of old-time Montana. Positioned half-way between Glacier and Yellowstone, the solitude of a stop at the Inn is the perfect compliment to the hustle and bustle if you're traveling between the National Parks.

In short, the Lodgepole Inn is a secluded hideaway with all the comforts of home including hardwood floors, a completely equipped kitchenette, full bath, private deck, and enough storage to make traveling easy. There are wildflower gardens, wild bird feeders, a continental breakfast is provided daily, and your hosts, Dave Ames and Elizabeth Rivard, can help customize your Rocky Mountain stay with their wealth of local experience.
