The Bigfork Terrace Retreat is an adorable home that can accommodate 5 guests just minutes away from everything that the coveted, quaint, lively town of Bigfork, MT has to offer, including Flathead Lake!
As you enter the home, you are welcomed by the kitchen and dining room off to the left, the living straight ahead and off to the right is a hallway that leads to the bedrooms and bathrooms. The dining room has a large, expandable dining table that seats up to 6 people as well as two bar stools at the bar that looks into the kitchen. In the kitchen you’ll find beautiful cabinetry, lots of countertop space and all of the essentials to cook any meal. Off the kitchen is a half-bath and a laundry room that leads into the garage. This home is perfect for catching up with loved ones, entertaining, celebrating holidays or exploring Northwest Montana.
As you move into the living room, the first thing you’ll see is the grand fireplace with built-ins that frame the room. The living room is furnished in a traditional American style and has lots of comfortable seating for guests. From here, the backyard is accessible from the sliding glass doors. The backyard offers a private space with a gas grill, a patio and outside seating, perfect for grilling out in the summer!
From the living area, as you move back toward the entryway, you’ll head down the hallway and on the left is the first bedroom. The first bedroom is the master with an ensuite bathroom. The master bedroom is complete with a queen-sized bed, a large walk-in closet, and the ensuite bathroom. The ensuite bathroom has a walk-in shower with a separate bathtub and a large double vanity. The window in the bathroom gives the room a ton of natural light.
Across from the master bedroom is the second bedroom, also with a queen-sized bed. From there, you’ll find the last full bathroom at the end of the hallway and a den with a futon and a private workspace, perfect for working from home! This home offers a cozy spot for the whole family or your group to spread-out!
In the winter, the Flathead Valley is famous for its world-class skiing and wide range of winter activities. There are two ski resorts in the area including the local favorite Whitefish Mountain Resort and the family-friendly Blacktail Mountain Ski Area. Whitefish Mountain Resort was recently ranked #3 in the West by Ski Magazine readers! Visitors to the area can also enjoy ice fishing on Flathead Lake, snowshoeing or cross-country skiing in Glacier National Park, and snowmobiling with one of the local outfitters.
In the summer, enjoy all the water sports imaginable at Flathead Lake, the largest freshwater lake west of the Mississippi in the lower 48! Glacier National Park is also close by with the breathtaking Going-To-The-Sun Road, Lake McDonald, and 70+day hikes! Make sure you take time to experience downtown Bigfork boasting shops, galleries, restaurants and the Bigfork Summer Playhouse. There are activities for everyone from hiking the Swan River Nature Trail, exploring the Jewel Basin Wilderness Area, fishing the many lakes & rivers or golfing at any of the exceptional courses, including Eagle Bend Golf Course.
