Whitefish North Star Ranch Cabin 1 is a Montana gem. This wonderful cabin sits on a secluded and serene 40 acres, yet only about eight miles from downtown Whitefish. You can settle back into a wilderness environment while being close to the many popular Whitefish eateries, shopping, and other attractions. You’ll also find Whitefish Lake and City Beach are less than 10 miles away and it is about 15 miles to Whitefish Mountain Resort.

DURING THE WINTER MONTHS a 4x4 vehicle is required to access the property in the snow. 

This remodeled, cozy cabin offers 685 square feet, two bedrooms, and one bathroom to accommodate up to two guests. You’ll take some exterior stairs to the front door and into the main living area, with the sitting area and kitchenette. The living room space offers a queen-sized sleeper sofa, a 55” Smart TV, and a bistro table with seating for two. The kitchenette is well equipped and comes with a refrigerator/freezer, Keurig coffee maker, Microwave/convection oven combo, plus utensils that will let you create delicious meals and snacks. The deck is spacious and offers patio seating and table, a propane BBQ grill, and gorgeous surrounding views. 

There are two bedrooms. The first bedroom has a queen-sized bed and access to the deck. The second bedroom has two twin-size beds and access to the deck. The full bathroom offers a shower with two shower heads. 

In the winter, downhill skiing at Whitefish Mountain Resort provides 3,000+ skiable acres, 14 lifts with terrain for all skill levels and stunning views. The resort was recently ranked #3 in the West by Ski Magazine readers! There are plenty of other winter activities from snowmobiling, cross country skiing, ice fishing, hiking, snowshoeing and more. Of course, you’ll also want to explore downtown Whitefish eateries and galleries and don’t miss Winter Carnival with a parade and skijoring! 
 
In the summer, enjoy all the watersports imaginable at Whitefish Lake, or any of the 100+ lakes & rivers within 100 miles, including Flathead Lake, the largest freshwater lake west of the Mississippi in the lower 48! Whitefish Mountain Resort also provides endless activities such as mountain biking, hiking, zip-lining, ropes courses, alpine slides, and scenic chair or gondola rides (with Glacier National Park views). Speaking of Glacier National Park, it’s only 45 minutes away from Whitefish! Don’t miss the breathtaking Going-To-The-Sun road, Lake McDonald, and 70+day hikes! You'll also want to take advantage of the Whitefish Trail system with 43 miles of hiking & biking trails, as well as great restaurants, art galleries, breweries, distilleries, a train museum, golf courses and local events such as Huckleberry Days, farmer’s markets, rodeos and Under the Big Sky music festival!  

Getting around Whitefish and to Whitefish Mountain Resort is a breeze with the FREE snow bus! The snow bus is a free shuttle service during peak winter and summer seasons. There are stops all around town and on the mountain. Whitefish also has Uber, Lyft and Taxis.
