🤠 Stay Montana Was Delighted to Sponsor Big Sky PBR! 🤠

That’s a wrap on Big Sky PBR! Stay Montana was delighted to sponsor this event and our team had a blast attending! We love supporting our Big Sky community and enjoying a fun summer evening under the Big Sky.

Big Sky PBR is in its 11th year and it gets better every year! It’s known as “Big Sky’s Biggest Event” and we can see why. There were so many fun things to do including bull riding events, nightly concerts, and an art auction, and many folks attended this action packed event!

For the eighth year in a row Big Sky PBR was named “PBR Event of the Year” by PBR’s Heroes & Legends. How cool is that?

Want to come visit for PBR next year? Stay up-to-date and keep tabs on next year’s Big Sky PBR here and book your Big Sky lodging now for the best rates & availability!

Yellowstone National Park’s Northern Loop Reopens!

Yellowstone National Park reopened the northern loop on Saturday, July 2, 2022, after roughly two weeks since historic flooding and damage caused the entire park to shut down while around 10,000 people evacuated the area. The northern loop will be accessible through the southern entrances at West Yellowstone, and at Cody and Jackson, Wyoming.

The northern entrance and northeast entrance roads remain closed.

Are you looking for a place to stay nearby? Check out our available Big Sky rentals! From luxury homes to condos, to more rustic cabins, there’s something for everyone in Big Sky!

The southern loop was reopened on June 22, 2022 with license plate restrictions allowing visitors to enter the park. The license plate restrictions have now been lifted, allowing all visitors to enter the park from the designated entrances.

Northern roads opening include Norris Junction to Mammoth Hot Springs, Mammoth to Tower-Roosevelt and Tower-Roosevelt to Canyon Junction. The northeast entrance road, which goes through the Lamar Valley, is still closed indefinitely.

Backcountry Use: Backcountry use on the southern loop will be open to overnight use beginning Friday, July 1, 2022. Some areas will stay closed due to flood damage.

Biking: Biking in the park is still being evaluated for safety.

Walk-in: Visitors will be allowed to walk into the park without a guide.

Services: Services open on the north loop include the general stores and gas stations at Tower and Mammoth.

To stay up-to-date, check out the National Park Service website for the most current information and updates.
