Stay Montana is a local, family and employee-owned boutique vacation rental company that specializes in making Montana memories. We strive to provide the best customer service possible and continually exceed our guest & owner expectations. We even provide our family recipe, Ella Cookies at check-in. Our guests love them! Come visit, we’d love to welcome you to Montana!

History: Chris and Jen Torsleff founded Stay Montana in 2016, bringing over 55 years of combined hospitality and resort property management experience gained from working for great companies like Vail Resorts, Ritz Carlton, Hilton and Marriott. In 2022, David Moore and Laura Dwight joined the ownership team after working extremely hard and proving their leadership.

Local: We have 4 offices in Big Sky, Bozeman, Whitefish and Bigfork. Our friendly team has deep roots in Montana with our founders managing Montana properties for over 20 years, raising their family here, and enjoying the countless outdoor activities Montana has to offer. We live here, we love it and we’d love to share it with you!

Chris & Jen Torsleff

Owners & Founders

Chris & Jen have over 55 years of combined hospitality experience working and learning from great companies like Vail Resorts, Ritz Carlton, Hilton, & Marriott. They are proud of the fact they started out in positions of bellman and busser and worked their way to key leadership roles in some of the most respected companies in the hotel and resort industry.

Chris and Jen were married in Moonlight Basin 20 years ago and enjoy life in Montana with their two teenagers. They keep busy traveling to watch them play competitive golf and soccer. Chris serves as Treasurer on the Board of Directors for Big Sky Ski Education Foundation (BSSEF) and also Visit Big Sky.

David Moore

Partner & Regional General Manager

David is located in the Flathead Valley, loves snowboarding, is passionate about mountain living and welcomed his 1st baby girl into the world this past summer! He grew up in the Denver, Colorado area and attended the University of Colorado Denver. David's focus on creating memorable experiences for guests started as he worked in Breckenridge, CO for Vail Resorts and he guides his team of property managers towards that goal everyday. If you don't find David jumping into the Big Couloir, then you will find him mountain biking with his two dogs Keira and Zeke or trying to keep up with his new baby girl!

Laura Dwight

Partner & Director of Marketing

With an MBA specializing in Marketing, Laura brings 15+ years of hospitality marketing experience to the Stay Montana team. Laura started her career in Tahoe, then lived in other gorgeous mountainous places such as Aspen and Telluride, Colorado before moving to Whitefish, Montana to start a family with her husband. When she’s not glued to her laptop, you’ll find Laura hiking with her pup, skiing, boating or chasing her toddlers.

Laura is active in Flathead Valley community events, such as the Whitefish & Bigfork Chambers and Powerhouse Flathead so say hi if you see her!

Reggie Rawlings

General Manager - Big Sky

Reggie was born in Montana but grew up in Arizona. She moved back to Montana for college and has loved every minute. Reggie enjoys the snow and also the heat. Her primary passion is dance, currently aerial, and of course, all the rest of the MT hobbies… camping, rafting, snowboarding, etc. She grew up in customer service and has over seven years of multi-unit management. Reggie is passionate about keeping your home pristine and welcoming for not only the guests but also the owners!

Ted Day

Director of Administration

Ted was born in raised in LA, California. At the age of 17, he became an Eagle Scout. Ted's hospitality career has spanned 20+ years, starting in maintenance and working his way up to positions as General and Area Manager at award winning Marriott and Hilton brands in Wyoming, Montana, California and Colorado. Ted is an avid outdoors man, who loves playing games and spending time with his wife and 4 kids. In his free time you'll find Ted playing video games with his kids, building something his workshop or playing with his dogs. Ted's motto is, “It will always and forever be about people.”

Amber Vogl

Director of Business Development

Amber is a long-time Montana resident and brings a wealth of expertise to the Stay Montana team. She has worked in the hospitality industry for over 15 years and has her degree in Accounting from Montana State University. Amber is a natural leader for the Stay Montana team and has a passion for making sure that our guests and owners have a five-star experience every time! When she’s not working, you can find her enjoying the natural beauty of Montana with her husband and three dogs!

Jezal McNeil

Director of Partner Success

Jezal was born and raised in the Black Hills of South Dakota, and migrated to Bozeman from Boulder, Colorado. Jezal has a degree in Hospitality Management, with over 20 years of experience in the hospitality and property management industries, and has a huge passion for providing exceptional customer service to guests and owners. In her free time, you may find her hiking or mountain biking in the summer and cross-country skiing in the winter. She also enjoys a good lounge day, always with a cup of coffee!

Tamara

Senior Operations Manager - Big Sky

As a Native American born in Alaska, Tamara has a great passion for the wild spectacular beauty found in the west - in Montana, Colorado, Wyoming and all over our nation’s National and State parks. Also, having spent most of her life in the South, growing up in Memphis Tennessee, home of Beale Street Blues, “Ole Man River”, Country Music and the delicious world famous barbecue, she has another passion!

Tamara is here to serve all our guests quickly, efficiently and with southern hospitality and western charm. With a BA in Hospitality and Resort Management, she followed her daughter to Big Sky in May of 2021, and joined the Stay Montana family. In Tamara's free time, she enjoys the rafting, camping and the amazing music our awesome summers offer.

Clayton

Operations Manager - Big Sky

Clayton is from Wisconsin. He holds a bachelor's degree in kinesiology from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh. In his free time, he enjoys getting outside to hike, fish, camp, and hunt. He is a big sports fan and is a die-hard Packers, Bucks, Brewers, and Badgers fan. Clayton loves cheese.

Cody

Operations Manager - Big Sky

Cody is from South Jersey just outside Philadelphia. He holds a Bachelor's Degree in Event Management and enjoys live music and sports. Cody also enjoys skiing in the winter, and hiking and backpacking in the summer. He's truly grateful to work for a local, family-owned and operated Montana company. I love the Montana lifestyle and have a passion for providing the Treasure State experience to all of our guests.

Operations Manager - Big Sky

Jose has been working in the Big Sky community for over 12 years. He came to Montana from Peru and decided he never wanted to leave. He loves soccer and has two kids he’s hoping will follow in his footsteps.

Operations Manager - Bozeman

Originally from St. Louis, MO; Cory attended Missouri State University where he got his bachelors degree in Business Management. Cory spent 10 years working in hospitality in Yellowstone National Park. In 2019, he decided to move to Bozeman to pursue a year-round position in hospitality. In his free time, Cory likes to take his dog hiking, go camping, go off-roading, and cook new recipes.

Charlotte

Guest Services Manager

Charlotte and her family relocated to Montana six years ago from Nampa, Idaho. They landed in the small community of Manhattan and have loved every minute of it! Charlotte and her husband have three beautiful children and when they are not traveling for their son’s competitive soccer or their daughter's softball games they love to go hiking, fishing and camping.

Frankie

Maintenance Tech - Big Sky

Frankie is our do-it-all maintenance man! He truly is a one-stop shop. He drives from Ennis daily to work with us, and we sure appreciate it. He’s been in Montana for over 24 years and loves it. Frankie loves plants, pottery, hunting, and his dog, Chapo.

Denise Grenier

Business Development

Denise's love of the outdoors brought her to the Flathead Valley in the Spring of 1987. After traveling extensively she knew she had found one of the most beautiful places to live in the world.
Denise owned and operated Eagle Bend Flathead Vacation Rentals from 1990-2020 before becoming part of the Stay Montana Family.
In her spare time you will find Denise kayaking, floating the Swan River or hiking and XC skiing with her sidekick Scout her giant Golden Doodle.
