🍪Ella Torsleff, daughter of the Stay Montana owners, developed this unique recipe when she was only 14 years old, and Stay Montana quickly began making them for all our guests and getting raving reviews. Fresh Ella Cookies are placed in each of our vacation rentals for guests to enjoy at check-in!
From Ella, “My family loves my cookies and I hope you enjoy them too!”
Ingredients:
•Butter, 1 cup
•Sugar, 3/4 cup
•Brown Sugar, 1/4 cup
•Egg yolk, 2
•Vanilla, 1 tsp
•Flour, 2 cups
•Salt (optional), 1/4 tsp
•Oatmeal, regular or quick, 3/4 cup
•Rice Krispies cereal, 3/4 cup
•Milk Chocolate morsels, 3/4 cup
•Bequet Celtic Sea Salt Caramel, 3 bits/cookie on top
Instructions:
Mix ingredients in order; roll dough into 1 inch balls; refrigerate/freeze for 1 hour; bake
at 325°F for 13 mins.🍪

– Wake up bright and early, go to Cowboy Coffee for a latte and a killer bacon breakfast sandwich!
– Walk down the street to East Slope Outfitters to get the local fishing report and restock on flies for the day.
– Head to one of the many fishable locations on the Gallatin River to go chase some brown and rainbow trout and take in the amazing views.
– Once the sun goes down, drive to the Riverhouse for some great BBQ and good drinks.

The perfect day in Bozeman by our Guest Services Manager, Clayton!
-Wake up and go to Granny’s donuts in town. The Apple Fritter Donut is Clayton’s fave! 🍩
-Pack a lunch and go spend the day on one of our various great surrounding rivers fly fishing! Clayton recommends the Gallatin River.
-Get back into town in time for dinner at Backcountry Burger Bar in downtown Bozeman and order the Magic Mushroom Burger.
-Finish the day off by going on a hike on the M-trail to catch Montana’s famous Big Sky country sunset! 🙌

- Where was the best vacation you ever took? Saint Thomas in the Virgin Islands a few years ago. The water was so warm and clear. I snorkeled for hours every day with sea turtles, schools of fish, and sting rays!
- What do you think is the most important thing in a home for a guest? Cleanliness – A guest wants to come in and feel like they are the first ones to use the property.
- If you could cook dinner for a celebrity in one of our vacation homes, who would it be and where? Payton Manning and it would be at one of our Whitefish Slopeside Luxury Ski in/out homes during a blizzard!
- When you make a bed, hospital corners or no hospital corners? Hospital Corners out of habit.
- What’s your preference, vacation rental, hotel, RV, or tent? Tent if I am off the grid in the woods, otherwise I would prefer a vacation rental.
- If you were exploring Montana with Lewis and Clarke, what was your favorite place? Glacier National Park.
- What is your favorite season? Winter.
- Favorite sports team? Broncos.
- What was the most fun you had during the Covid-19 shut down? Mountain Biking!
- Favorite book or movie character of all time? Harry Potter.
- Are you loyal to any brand? If yes why? Neversummer Snowboards because the quality of their product is always on point, they are reliable and stylish.
- Most embarrassing moment? When my Stay Montana team short-sheeted my bed at our Leadership Retreat!
