Welcome to Salmon Fly Chalet

The Big Sky trip you've been dreaming of starts here. Salmon Fly Chalet sits right in Town Center, so you're never far from anything, whether that's the lifts, the Gallatin River, the Nordic trails, or a trailhead with a horse waiting.

The open kitchen and living area is the kind of space that just works after a long day outside. Plenty of room to cook, eat, and decompress together, with big windows and tree views that make it easy to forget you have anywhere else to be.

The primary bedroom is calm and quiet with windows looking out into the trees, and the bunk room is a genuine asset if you're coming with kids or a crew. Two bathrooms keeps the morning chaos to a minimum. Out back, the private patio is smaller than you'd think but more useful than you'd expect. Early morning before a float trip, or feet up after a day in Yellowstone. It earns its place.

One Thing to Know
This property is currently for sale, which means there's a chance a showing could be requested during your stay. We'll always give you plenty of heads up and do our best to keep it from disrupting your trip. We just want you to know upfront so there are no surprises.

Winter
Big Sky Resort is the biggest skiing in America, and it earns that title every single year. With 5,800 skiable acres, 4,350 feet of vertical drop, and an average of 400+ inches of snowfall annually, it delivers for every level of skier and rider. When you are ready to step off the slopes, the historic Lone Mountain Ranch has 85+ kilometers of groomed Nordic trails through the wilderness, voted the #1 cross-country ski resort in North America. Beyond that, Yellowstone National Park, snowmobiling, snowshoeing, dog sledding, ice fishing, and world-class spa experiences are all within easy reach.

Summer
The mountains do not slow down when the snow melts. Within minutes you have world-class fly fishing, river rafting, golf, hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding, and zip-lining at your doorstep. Follow the scenic Gallatin River along historic Highway 191 and you are at the west entrance of Yellowstone National Park in just 45 minutes. Stay long enough and you will find free concerts, farmers markets, and weekly events scattered throughout the season.
