There are two ski resorts in the area, including the local favorite Whitefish Mountain Resort and the family-friendly Blacktail Mountain Ski Area. Visitors to the area can also enjoy ice fishing on Flathead Lake, snowshoeing or cross-country skiing in Glacier National Park, and snowmobiling with one of the local outfitters.
