Welcome to Lazy B Lake House!
Flathead Lake has no shortage of beautiful properties, but few carry the soul of Lazy B Lake House. This midcentury retreat sitting right at the water's edge on 3 acres of serene Indian Bay, just 15 minutes north of Polson. With 200 feet of shoreline, towering pine, and fiery sunsets over Wild Horse Island, this is a special spot to make memories.
Step inside and the warmth wraps around you, rich wood paneling, a stone fireplace crackling in the corner, oversized sofas begging you to sink in and stay awhile. The house sleeps 10 across four bedrooms, each one a cozy retreat of its own. The living room opens straight onto the lake, the dining room seats 10 for the kind of long, laughter-filled dinners that turn strangers into family, and when the weather's right, the deck and outdoor seating steal the show instead. Downstairs, the rec room is where the real fun lives, a pool table under warm light, a stone bar for evening cocktails, a cozy kitchenette, all opening onto the lake so you never miss a moment of the view.
Outside is where this place truly comes alive. The covered dock welcomes boats up to 22 feet for lazy days on the water, bring your own, moor it through the afternoon, or pull it each evening (no overnight lift here, please note the boat in photos is not included). The rocky beach practically begs for bare feet, whether you're swimming, casting a line, or cruising the shoreline on one of the two water bikes. Tucked into the pines, a private tennis court waits for a friendly match, and as golden hour rolls in, there's nothing quite like settling onto the deck, drink in hand, watching the sun melt into Wild Horse Island while you dream up tomorrow's adventure.
And the magic doesn't stop at the property line. Glacier National Park is a scenic 90-minute drive away, Wild Horse Island State Park is just minutes off the dock by boat, and the charm of downtown Polson or Bigfork, galleries, restaurants, the Summer Playhouse, is close enough for a spontaneous evening out. Fill your days with hiking, mountain biking, golf, horseback riding, waterskiing, wake surfing, or picking wild huckleberries and Flathead cherries straight from local farms.
This isn't just a place to stay. It's a place to fall in love with Montana, one sunset at a time.
Summer
When the snow melts, the Flathead Valley transforms into a playground of lakes, trails, and endless sunshine. Spend your days on Flathead Lake, the largest freshwater lake west of the Mississippi, where you can enjoy boating, paddleboarding, kayaking, and swimming in crystal-clear waters. Just a short drive away, Glacier National Park beckons with the legendary Going-to-the-Sun Road, Lake McDonald, and over 70 incredible day hikes. Closer to home, soak in the charm of downtown Bigfork -- a vibrant hub for local shops, art galleries, award-winning restaurants, and the iconic Bigfork Summer Playhouse. Outdoor lovers can hike the Swan River Nature Trail, explore the Jewel Basin Wilderness Area, cast a line in countless lakes and rivers, or play a round at Eagle Bend Golf Course.
