There are vacation homes and then there is this place.
Perched on a hillside above a babbling creek with sweeping views down the valley, this 4-bedroom, 3-story ski-in/ski-out home is unlike anything else in Big Sky. It is spacious, it is ultra-contemporary, and it has a personality all its own. A round picture window in the kitchen, a loft with cathedral ceilings, a blue fireplace, and retro touches around every corner. You will spend the first hour just exploring.
The indoor hot tub room is positioned right at the large front window so you can soak in comfort while the mountain views stretch out in front of you. When you are ready to really unwind, head down to the lower level and step into the indoor sauna. This is the kind of home that makes you forget there is anywhere else to be.
In winter, making first tracks has never been easier. Walk down the driveway, strap on your skis, and make your way to the Thunder Wolf lift when snow conditions allow, or head up the road a short distance to the Puma lift. While you are out there carving fresh powder, the rest of the group can stay behind by the blue fireplace with a cup of coffee. No one loses in that scenario.
In summer, the fun shifts outdoors. Lake Levinsky is right there with pedal boats, canoes, and paddleboards waiting to be used. The Big Sky Resort Ziplines are just 0.01 miles away for those who need a little more adrenaline. And just below the property, a creek runs quietly through the landscape, the kind of spot where you sit down for a few minutes and end up staying for hours.
This is not a typical Big Sky rental. It is the one people talk about long after the trip is over.
Ski-in and Ski-out Access:
Ski-in and out to Big Sky Resort. Best for skiers | Possible for children and Snowboarders, but ski-in can be more difficult for these groups | Ski-out - Travel down the road to the Thunderwolf Lift | Ski in- Intermediate and Expert take Silverknife to Bear Back Poma. Ski past the bottom of the Poma on the ski trail to Low Dog Road. From here ski the road back to the house | We recommend beginners ski to the Summit Hotel and walk out the front of the hotel and ski the road the whole way back down to Low Dog Road. Silverknife may be too steep for beginners. Note: During periods of melting the road could be exposed and cause the property to lose ski access since the road is necessary for parts of the process. The Home is only ski accessible when the road is snow-covered.
Winter
Big Sky Resort is the biggest skiing in America, and it earns that title every single year. With 5,800 skiable acres, 4,350 feet of vertical drop, and an average of 400+ inches of snowfall annually, it delivers for every level of skier and rider. When you are ready to step off the slopes, the historic Lone Mountain Ranch has 85+ kilometers of groomed Nordic trails through the wilderness, voted the #1 cross-country ski resort in North America. Beyond that, Yellowstone National Park, snowmobiling, snowshoeing, dog sledding, ice fishing, and world-class spa experiences are all within easy reach.
Summer
The mountains do not slow down when the snow melts. Within minutes you have world-class fly fishing, river rafting, golf, hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding, and zip-lining at your doorstep. Follow the scenic Gallatin River along historic Highway 191 and you are at the west entrance of Yellowstone National Park in just 45 minutes. Stay long enough and you will find free concerts, farmers markets, and weekly events scattered throughout the season.

Air Conditioning:
This home does not have air conditioning, which is typical for Montana mountain properties. Evenings cool down beautifully at elevation, and opening windows at night is the best way to bring that fresh mountain air in. During the day, keeping windows and curtains closed helps hold the cool air inside. Fans are available in the bedroom closets for additional comfort. For safety, please only open windows while you are present on the property.
